an island full of adventure
Hawaii has to be one of the most picturesque places on Earth. Everywhere you turn, there are lush green mountains and the bluest ocean. I spent a week on Oahu and traveled all over this tiny island with a population of nearly one million. I fell in love with everything it has to offer and had so much fun capturing it's beauty.
Chinamans Hat
A short kayak ride away from Kualoa Regional Beach Park you will find a tiny island known as Chinamans Hat or also referred to as Mokoliʻi Island. From here you can hike to the top and enjoy stunning views of the Koolau Mountains. Which happens to be an amazing backdrop for a quick photoshoot.
Kaiwi Scenic Shoreline
Makapuʻu Lighthouse Trail
The Kaiwi Scenic Shoreline is perfect for some amazing golden hour shots. If you're lucky, you might even catch some whales swimming by. Be sure to take the two hour (roundtrip) Makapuʻu Lighthouse Trail. There you will find views of the Makapuʻu Lighthouse and of Oahu's beautiful coastline.
Stairway To Heaven
Also, known as the Haiku stairs, this hike is commonly found at the top of many lists of the most beautiful hikes in the world. While now illegal to hike up the actual stairs, you can still reach the top by hiking up the back way of the mountain. This hike is not for the faint of heart but the views at the top are so incredible that the 8 hour roundtrip makes it totally worth it.
